109:1. | Di xit Dóminus Dómino meo : * Sede a dextris meis : | 1. | The Lord said to my Lord: * Sit thou at my right hand: |
109:2. | Donec ponam inimícos tuos, * scabéllum pedum tuórum. | 2. | Until I make thy enemies * thy footstool. |
109:3. | Virgam virtútis tuæ emíttet Dóminus ex Sion : * domináre in médio inimicórum tuórum. | 3. | The Lord will send forth the sceptre of thy power out of Sion: * rule thou in the midst of thy enemies. |
109:4. | Tecum princípium in die virtútis tuæ in splendóribus sanctórum : * ex útero ante lucíferum génui te. | 4. | With thee is the principality in the day of thy strength: in the brightness of the saints: * from the womb before the day star I begot thee. |
109:5. | Jurávit Dóminus, et non pœnitébit eum : * Tu es sacérdos in ætérnum secúndum órdinem Melchísedech. | 5. | The Lord hath sworn, and he will not repent: * Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech. |
109:6. | Dóminus a dextris tuis, * confrégit in die iræ suæ reges. | 6. | The Lord at thy right hand * hath broken kings in the day of his wrath. |
109:7. | Judicábit in natiónibus, implébit ruínas : * conquassábit cápita in terra multórum. | 7. | He shall judge among nations, he shall fill ruins: * he shall crush the heads in the land of many. |
109:8. | De torrénte in via bibet : * proptérea exaltábit caput. | 8. | He shall drink of the torrent in the way: * therefore shall he lift up the head. |

110:1. | Con fitebor tibi, Dómine, in toto corde meo : * in consílio justórum, et congregatióne. | 1. | I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; * in the council of the just, and in the congregation. |
110:2. | Magna ópera Dómini : * exquisíta in omnes voluntátes ejus. | 2. | Great are the works of the Lord: * sought out according to all his wills. |
110:3. | Conféssio et magnificéntia opus ejus : * et justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi. | 3. | His work is praise and magnificence: * and his justice continueth for ever and ever. |
110:4. | Memóriam fecit mirabílium suórum, † miséricors et miserátor Dóminus : * escam dedit timéntibus se. | 4. | He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord: * he hath given food to them that fear him. |
110:5. | Memor erit in sǽculum testaménti sui : * virtútem óperum suórum annuntiábit pópulo suo : | 5. | He will be mindful for ever of his covenant: * he will shew forth to his people the power of his works. |
110:6. | Ut det illis hereditátem géntium : * ópera mánuum ejus véritas, et judícium. | 6. | That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: * the works of his hands are truth and judgment. |
110:7. | Fidélia ómnia mandáta ejus : † confirmáta in sǽculum sǽculi, * facta in veritáte et æquitáte. | 7. | All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, * made in truth and equity. |
110:8. | Redemptiónem misit pópulo suo : * mandávit in ætérnum testaméntum suum. | 8. | He hath sent redemption to his people: * he hath commanded his covenant for ever. |
110:9. | (fit reverentia) Sanctum, et terríbile nomen ejus : * inítium sapiéntiæ timor Dómini. | 9. | (bow head) Holy and terrible is his name: * the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. |
110:10. | Intelléctus bonus ómnibus faciéntibus eum : * laudátio ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi. | 10. | A good understanding to all that do it: * his praise continueth for ever and ever. |

111:1. | Be átus vir, qui timet Dóminum : * in mandátis ejus volet nimis. | 1. | Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord: * he shall delight exceedingly in his commandments. |
111:2. | Potens in terra erit semen ejus : * generátio rectórum benedicétur. | 2. | His seed shall be mighty upon earth: * the generation of the righteous shall be blessed. |
111:3. | Glória, et divítiæ in domo ejus : * et justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi. | 3. | Glory and wealth shall be in his house: * and his justice remaineth for ever and ever. |
111:4. | Exórtum est in ténebris lumen rectis : * miséricors, et miserátor, et justus. | 4. | To the righteous a light is risen up in darkness: * he is merciful, and compassionate and just. |
111:5. | Jucúndus homo qui miserétur et cómmodat, † dispónet sermónes suos in judício : * quia in ætérnum non commovébitur. | 5. | Acceptable is the man that sheweth mercy and lendeth: he shall order his words with judgment: * because he shall not be moved for ever. |
111:6. | In memória ætérna erit justus : * ab auditióne mala non timébit. | 6. | The just shall be in everlasting remembrance: * he shall not fear the evil hearing. |
111:7. | Parátum cor ejus speráre in Dómino, † confirmátum est cor ejus : * non commovébitur donec despíciat inimícos suos. | 7. | His heart is ready to hope in the Lord: his heart is strengthened, * he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies. |
111:8. | Dispérsit, dedit paupéribus : † justítia ejus manet in sǽculum sǽculi, * cornu ejus exaltábitur in glória. | 8. | He hath distributed, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever and ever: * his horn shall be exalted in glory. |
111:9. | Peccátor vidébit, et irascétur, † déntibus suis fremet et tabéscet : * desidérium peccatórum períbit. | 9. | The wicked shall see, and shall be angry, he shall gnash with his teeth and pine away: * the desire of the wicked shall perish. |

112:2. | (fit reverentia) Sit nomen Dómini benedíctum, * ex hoc nunc, et usque in sǽculum. | 2. | (bow head) Blessed be the name of the Lord, * from henceforth now and for ever. |
112:3. | A solis ortu usque ad occásum, * laudábile nomen Dómini. | 3. | From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, * the name of the Lord is worthy of praise. |
112:4. | Excélsus super omnes gentes Dóminus, * et super cælos glória ejus. | 4. | The Lord is high above all nations; * and his glory above the heavens. |
112:5. | Quis sicut Dóminus, Deus noster, qui in altis hábitat, * et humília réspicit in cælo et in terra? | 5. | Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high: * and looketh down on the low things in heaven and in earth? |
112:6. | Súscitans a terra ínopem, * et de stércore érigens páuperem : | 6. | Raising up the needy from the earth, * and lifting up the poor out of the dunghill: |
112:7. | Ut cóllocet eum cum princípibus, * cum princípibus pópuli sui. | 7. | That he may place him with princes, * with the princes of his people. |

113:1. | In éxitu Israël de Ægýpto, * domus Jacob de pópulo bárbaro : | 1. | When Israel went out of Egypt, * the house of Jacob from a barbarous people: |
113:2. | Facta est Judæa sanctificátio ejus, * Israël potéstas ejus. | 2. | Judea was made his sanctuary, * Israel his dominion. |
113:3. | Mare vidit, et fugit : * Jordánis convérsus est retrórsum. | 3. | The sea saw and fled: * Jordan was turned back. |
113:4. | Montes exsultavérunt ut aríetes, * et colles sicut agni óvium. | 4. | The mountains skipped like rams, * and the hills like the lambs of the flock. |
113:5. | Quid est tibi, mare, quod fugísti : * et tu, Jordánis, quia convérsus es retrórsum? | 5. | What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou didst flee: * and thou, O Jordan, that thou wast turned back? |

113:9. | Non nobis, Dómine, non nobis : * sed nómini tuo da glóriam. | 9. | Not to us, O Lord, not to us; * but to thy name give glory. |
113:10. | Super misericórdia tua, et veritáte tua : * nequándo dicant gentes : Ubi est Deus eórum? | 10. | For thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake: * lest the Gentiles should say: Where is their God? |
113:11. | Deus autem noster in cælo : * ómnia quæcúmque vóluit, fecit. | 11. | But our God is in heaven: * he hath done all things whatsoever he would. |
113:12. | Simulácra géntium argéntum, et aurum, * ópera mánuum hóminum. | 12. | The idols of the Gentiles are silver and gold, * the works of the hands of men. |
113:13. | Os habent, et non loquéntur : * óculos habent, et non vidébunt. | 13. | They have mouths and speak not: * they have eyes and see not. |
113:14. | Aures habent, et non áudient : * nares habent, et non odorábunt. | 14. | They have ears and hear not: * they have noses and smell not. |
113:15. | Manus habent, et non palpábunt : † pedes habent, et non ambulábunt : * non clamábunt in gútture suo. | 15. | They have hands and feel not: they have feet and walk not: * neither shall they cry out through their throat. |

113:17. | Domus Israël sperávit in Dómino : * adjútor eórum et protéctor eórum est, | 17. | The house of Israel hath hoped in the Lord: * he is their helper and their protector. |
113:18. | Domus Aaron sperávit in Dómino : * adjútor eórum et protéctor eórum est, | 18. | The house of Aaron hath hoped in the Lord: * he is their helper and their protector. |
113:19. | Qui timent Dóminum, speravérunt in Dómino : * adjútor eórum et protéctor eórum est, | 19. | They that fear the Lord have hoped in the Lord: * he is their helper and their protector. |
113:20. | Dóminus memor fuit nostri : * et benedíxit nobis : | 20. | The Lord hath been mindful of us, * and hath blessed us. |
113:21. | Benedíxit dómui Israël : * benedíxit dómui Aaron. | 21. | He hath blessed the house of Israel: * he hath blessed the house of Aaron. |
113:22. | Benedíxit ómnibus, qui timent Dóminum, * pusíllis cum majóribus. | 22. | He hath blessed all that fear the Lord, * both little and great. |
113:23. | Adjíciat Dóminus super vos : * super vos, et super fílios vestros. | 23. | May the Lord add blessings upon you: * upon you, and upon your children. |
113:24. | Benedícti vos a Dómino, * qui fecit cælum, et terram. | 24. | Blessed be you of the Lord, * who made heaven and earth. |
113:25. | Cælum cæli Dómino : * terram autem dedit fíliis hóminum. | 25. | The heaven of heaven is the Lord's: * but the earth he has given to the children of men. |
113:26. | Non mórtui laudábunt te, Dómine : * neque omnes, qui descéndunt in inférnum. | 26. | The dead shall not praise thee, O Lord: * nor any of them that go down to hell. |
