Notes

  • There are individual festal offices and several common offices: BVM, Apostles, Martyrs, Confessors,  Holy Virgins, Holy Women, Dedication of a Church;
  • The 8th edition was translated by Fr. Edward Malone, OSB, of Mt. Michael Abbey.
                The Olinger (CCD) translation of the psalms  were used.
                The text was co-publoished in the USA by Herder and Franciscan Herald Press.
  • In 1964, daily readings were added as an option.  These were the same readings the Encalcat Monks had prepared for the OFFICE OF OUR LADY. The Seckau Monks had translated the readings into German for the Monks of the Abbey of Encalcat, and the Encalcat book was published
    as Officium Marianum  by Herder..  Herder reprinted them, gave them a different cover and title
    page, and included them as a second volume to Officium Divinbum Parvum.
